We are used to associate the word technology machinery, equipment or highly advanced, expensive and certainly complicated systems. Actually, the term technology comes from "techne", a Greek word meaning "useful knowledge", "organized fitness." Technology is the way of doing things; is the set of processes, formulas and man, that contribute to make your job easier invented materials.
Example: The first tools used by humans were initially sticks and stones. Over time, the man was perfecting to hunt more efficiently: sharpening stone to make arrowhead and tied it to the post with fibers extracted from plants and trees. Primitive man developed a technology to produce, in this case, their utensils.
Every technology has its origins in an idea, occurrence or new form, ie, in an innovation. This idea or innovation must go through a testing process before becoming technology. This process consists of the following steps:
• Surge and recognizes the need for procedures, materials, or more efficient products.
• Surge idea or innovation.
• prototypes (for new products) or testing (in the case of new processes or systems) are made, to evaluate the performance and future potential of innovation.
• the costs of implementing such innovation are evaluated.
• innovation is implanted, but not before training personnel who will handle it.
Innovation becomes technology.
Technology as part of an innovation and for the latter there is a need to encourage, motivate and an environment conducive to man so that he develops his creativity. Without creativity there is no innovation; without innovation there is no technology, that simple.
Any business whose goal is to be at the forefront of the market, either through the products or services you offer, your relationship with your customers or how to sell or how manage the business, must promote creativity of its people. The owner or manager of the company is responsible for providing its employees the right time to develop this creativity that, in many cases, will result in innovation and technology environment and hence real benefits for the same company.
Technology:
• Can be created.
• Can be acquired, purchased or rented.
• Transfers of.
• Can be renewed.
• Can old.
